Catalyst expected to draw 13,000 "Next Generation" leaders
More than 13,00 people are expected to attend the Catalyst Conference, a program designed to help shape the culture of the church and young leaders.
The conference, which runs through Friday, brings together Christian leaders from across the country. The 2010 theme is "The Tension is Good," which is based on the belief that although tension is feared, it "tests, tries and shapes those who embrace it into better leaders."
Speakers scheduled to attend include Beth Moore, an author and Bible teacher; Seth Goodin, an author, inspirational speaker and marketing expert; and Craig Groeschel from LifeChurch.tv.
Rani Hong, a United Nations Human Rights Award recipient and Tronie Foundation founder, is also expected to attend.
Catalyst was formed in 1999 as the "Next Generation Leaders Conference" by the Rev. Andy Stanley, pastor of North Point Community Church, and other young leaders. The event will be held at the Gwinnett Arena in Duluth. For more information go to www.catalystconference.com.
