A motorist suffered minor injuries Friday when the car he was driving plowed through the front of a store in a Gwinnett County strip mall.

The incident happened about 8 a.m. at A1 Gold Buyers at the intersection of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Holcomb Bridge Road.

Gwinnett fire Lt. Eric Eberly said rescue units arrived at the store to find the driver still inside the Kia Sephia, which had crashed through the brick and glass front of the store.

The driver was extricated from the Sephia and taken to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. His identity was not immediately available.
