A vehicle with two adults and a child inside crashed into a house in Gwinnett County on Thursday morning, and the adults went to a hospital, authorities said.

The incident happened about 7 a.m. in the 400 block of Sugar Gate Court off Bethesda School Road.

Gwinnett fire Lt. Colin S. Rhoden told the AJC that about half of the car went into the home, apparently after the car was struck from behind by another vehicle.

The vehicle entered the house through the French doors from the kitchen to the back yard, Rhoden said.

The house was stable, and the residents, who were in the home at the time of the accident, were not hurt, Rhoden said. Power was shut off pending the arrival of an electrician and an insurance representative, but the residents were not displaced.

The two adults in the car complained of neck and back pain and were transported to a local hospital, Rhoden said. The child left the scene with family members.
