The Canton City Council has approved street closures for a “BBQ, Brews and Boos!” event that’s expected to draw 5,000 people to the downtown area the Saturday before Halloween.
Brews and Boos, to take place from 4 to 10 p.m., Oct. 27, will be centered on Cannon Park and will require the closing of all of Main Street and part of East Marietta Street in front of the Downtown Kitchen restaurant, according to the application to the city by BBQ and Brews, the event organizer.
In addition to food and beer, the event will offer music, vendors, trick-or-treating, ghost tours and a children’s area, the organizer said. Set-up will begin at noon, away from the farmer’s market; and the post-event clean-up should be finished by midnight.
A similar "BBQ and Brews" event is held in the spring at Etowah River Park. Information: https://www.bbqandbrews.com/
