Cancer survivors celebrate life, inspire others

Sept 16, 2011The Magic of Life Foundation will host its 19th Magic of Life Celebration for Cancer Survivors from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 1 in at the bandstand in downtown Decatur.
The event, presented by J. Smith Lanier & Co. and Georgia Cancer Specialists, gives cancer survivors a chance to celebrate share their stories and celebrate life.
There will be music, food and other activities.
For those interested in attending: go to or call phone by calling 404-373-2021 through Sept. 22. Cancer survivors receive free admission, which includes lunch and a free t-shirt. Guests pay $10 per person and includes food. Registration is limited.
