Brookhaven City Council approved a contract recently for Heath & Lineback Engineers to prepare a North Fork Peachtree Creek Greenway Masterplan at a cost of $153,800.96.
The project is to “develop a framework for constructing an integrated system of multi-use and natural trails along the North Fork Peachtree Creek,” city officials said.
The city will provide topographic and parcel data to Heath & Lineback Engineers from the city’s Geographical Information System for use in developing the Master Plan and concept layout.
In a settlement agreement last year with the Pink Pony, land along the Peachtree Creek that runs along their property was donated for the park and the Pink Pony will pay up to $75,000 towards a linear park. This land will likely be included in the Heath & Lineback Engineers Masterplan.
The Greenway Masterplan is set for completion in October.
