A local bride and her husband filed a lawsuit against the hotel that held their wedding reception after the couple and their guests became violently ill.

The health department determined norovirus sickened Michelle Francis, her husband and dozens of their guests at the Atlanta Airport Marriott, according to Channel 2 Action News.

A 1-year-old girl had to be hospitalized for dehydration, the television station reported.

"Our best day turned into a nightmare,” Francis said of the March 2016 event.

The Atlanta Airport Marriott hotel and their corporate headquarters declined comment on the pending litigation.

The health department reported that the outbreak included guests of at least three other events, as well as at least 40 hotel employees, according to Channel 2.
