The Braselton Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. April 27 to discuss a conditional use permit request for an automobile express service establishment. Assuming statewide public health emergency restrictions on large gatherings and social distancing are still in place on this date, the meeting will be held via tele-conference. Information to access the meeting will be provided by Braselton via their web site at www.braselton.net.

The proposed Valvoline Instant Oil Change facility would sit on about one acre at 2113 Friendship Road near the intersection with Spout Springs Road. Customers will remain in their vehicles during their oil change and be able to watch their service on closed circuit monitors inside the bays. The plan calls for 10 parking spaces, including 2 for handicapped patrons.

The Braselton Mayor and Council will hold a public hearing on the same issue at 4 p.m. May 7.
