Regeneron and Society for Science & the Public announced scholars in the Regeneron Science Talent Search, a science and math competition for high school seniors. In Georgia: Ananya Ganesh from The Westminster Schools, Lauren Hester from Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy, Bixia (Bill) Li from George Walton Comprehensive High School and Shreya Ramesh from Milton High School. Each scholar, selected from 1,993 entrants, receives a $2,000 award with an additional $2,000 going to his or her respective school, resulting in $1.2 million in total scholar awards from Regeneron.
The College of St. Scholastica has announced Georgia graduates for the Fall 2019 semester: Gynnie Pascual of Covington, Whitney Serebour of Lilburn, Sehwa Kim of Marietta and Vanessa Ntwoku of Alpharetta.
The National Art Education Association has named Lydia Atubeh of Decatur to receive the 2020 Outstanding National Junior Art Honor Society Sponsor Award. It will be presented at the NAEA National Convention in Minneapolis, MN, March 26-28.
