A Forsyth County magistrate judge denied bond Wednesday for two of the three adult suspects in the execution-style killing of an Ingles grocery store security guard.
Judge Pamela Boles denied bond for Tyrice K. Adside, 19, of Cumming and Sharod Johnson, 18, of Cumming, the Ingles employee accused of helping plan the fatal robbery late Sunday night.
Nakitta J. Holmes, 19, of Buford was to make his court appearance later Wednesday. Those three and a 16-year-old juvenile from Buford, whose name is being withheld, are charged with murder and armed robbery.
Tuesday night, Forsyth County Sheriff's deputies arrested another man they say committed an earlier armed robbery with one or more of the suspects. Darren Slayton, 18, of Cumming is charged with two counts of armed robbery in connection with an Aug. 26 holdup at the Chevron at Ga. 20 and James Burgess Road.
Authorities say Sunday's fatal robbery at the Ingles on Canton Road in Cumming was the end of a crime spree that lasted several weeks and included robberies at Waffle Houses and convenience stores in Forsyth and Gwinnett counties.
Late Sunday night, during a robbery committed by three masked gunmen, Ingles guard David Casto, 37, was shot in the head and left in the freezer. Authorities say it appeared Casto was disarmed well before he was shot.
Johnson, a cash register operator, gave investigators an inconsistent story and eventually confessed to his role in the robbery, the Sheriff's Office said.
