Atlanta trash pickup shifts for Thanksgiving week

Atlanta residents who normally get their trashed picked up on Thursday or Friday will have to wait a couple of days longer, the city announced.
The Department of Public Works pushed pickup dates back for the Thanksgiving holiday. There will also be no trash pickup on Black Friday.
Residents whose normal trash pickup falls on those days will get service on Saturday and Monday, respectively, the city said. Because of this, trash service will be pushed back one day for all residents through the week of Dec. 2-6. For example, Monday pickups will happen on Tuesday, and that will continue for each day, all week.
REMINDER📣 There will be no solid waste collections next week on #ThanksgivingDay or the following #Friday. There will be a two-day delay for all services. Please see the flyer for your collection day next week. Regular collection will resume Monday, December 9. pic.twitter.com/lrzGpvpXAR
