The traffic. The sprawl. The hills. The hills!

This is how one one-time Atlanta resident explained her beef with the city when she was interviewed for Humans of New York, a wildly popular photo blog run by Brandon Stanton, a Marietta native and University of Georgia alum.

"I knew I made a mistake the first day I was there," she told Stanton. "I didn’t have a car. I had to walk a mile to Trader Joe’s. There were no cabs anywhere."

"And the hills!" she continued, of Atlanta. "So many hills! And the movie I wanted to see was two counties away. Two counties! I don't even want to talk about laundry day."

Her story has a happy ending wrapped in a sad one: Realizing she missed the sidewalks, skyscrapers and Broadway tickets in NYC, the woman moved back. Unfortunately, her sojourn south cost her her previously affordable apartment.

"I can only afford a room (now)," she said. "I should have listened to my friends. Oh man, I messed up."

As of this writing, the story has more than 600 shares on Facebook, with many supportive comments applauding the woman for following her dream.

Atlanta has some defenders, too: "Did you ever visit Atlanta before moving there?" one commenter wrote. "Yes, there are hills and no cabs, and spread out activities. We love cafes. Your business might have worked."
