The holidays are looking a lot brighter for an Atlanta real estate agent who has won a $179, 531 jackpot prize in the Georgia Lottery.
Christopher Christian matched all five winning numbers in the Nov. 24 Fantasy 5 drawing on Thanksgiving Day. He bought the Quik Pik ticket at Little Five Points Pharmacy, 484 Moreland Ave., Atlanta. Winning numbers from the Nov. 24 drawing were: 7-26-28-34-39.
“I was stunned. I just sat there,” Christian said. “I’m surprised I wasn’t more gregarious.”
Just a few weeks before, Christian had won $1,000 playing the Maximum Green instant game. He cashed that winning ticket at the Georgia Lottery kiosk at the lottery’s headquarters in downtown Atlanta.
“I told the representative that I’d really like to get a check with more zeros,” he recalled.
She assured him that he would, he said.
“I plan to put this in savings and take a vacation at Christmas,” Christian said.
