An Iraqi War veteran from Atlanta died during a fist fight outside a home in Albany, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Wesley Braswell, 38, had a gun in the fight, but no shots were fired. Braswell fell unresponsive during the fight and died. An autopsy is planned.

In 2006, Braswell was with a medic team driving across northern Iraq as part of a truck convoy when the lead truck hit an IED and exploded, Channel 2 reported. Braswell went inside the truck as live ammunition was going off and saved the three wounded men inside.

Braswell was given the Bronze Star of Valor, one of the highest American honors, for his bravery.

No charges have been filed in Braswell’s death.
