Fulton County will charge Sandy Springs $2,796 and Atlanta $17,056 to add their Sunday sales questions to November ballots. Neither city has municipal elections this year, but both opted to piggyback their alcohol referendums on the same ballot as Atlanta and Fulton County schools' 1-cent sales tax votes.

Sandy Springs Mayor Eva Galambos had balked at paying anything, considering polls will already be open countywide. Fulton elections Interim Director Sam Westmoreland said the cities agreed to pay costs for paper, such as absentee ballots, and the school boards will shoulder the rest.
