The Fayetteville Police Department is accepting applications for its 13th annual Junior Police Academy.

The program will be held 8 a.m.-3 p.m. July 27-31 and is open to students who are rising seventh through 10th graders. Participants will work with veteran officers to get hands-on knowledge of police work by participating in vehicle stops, crime scene processing, defensive tactics, team building and physical fitness.

Applications are available at the Fayetteville Police Department, Bennett’s Mil Middle School or from any school resource officer, and are due June 1.
