Police have called off the search for a Fulton County animal control officer after locating her at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Police launched a search for Wanda Jefferies, 52, on Saturday afternoon after she was reported missing. She was last seen answering a stray dog call around 3 p.m. Saturday in northwest Atlanta, police said.

Jefferies was located at Grady on Sunday, Atlanta police spokesman Eric Schwartz said.

"She is being treated for medical reasons," Schwartz said Monday. "APD is no longer investigating the incident and charges are not expected."
