Alpharetta to host annual awards

The Alpharetta Dept. of Public Safety will be holding its annual awards ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church at 180 Academy Street.

Several police, fire and 911 staff will be honored with awards for meritorious service at the event. An honor guard will perform, followed by a keynote speech and luncheon, said Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon.
