Police in Acworth have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Hiram man who allegedly spooked a woman in the parking lot of a Target store.
On July 1, when a woman who'd been shopping at the store at 3378 Cobb Parkway went to the parking lot, she found a McDonald's cup atop her car. She climbed onto her running board to get it, and when she got down, police said, she stepped onto someone.
It turns out it was a man who'd crawled out from underneath a nearby vehicle. The woman, shocked, jumped into her car and drove off.
Police later issued an alert seeking the public's help with the case, and thanks to a tipster, they zeroed in on Terrence L. Boros, Jr., 45, of Hiram, said Major Wayne Dennard of the Acworth Police Department. He said the the tip involved a tag number of a vehicle associated with Boros that was spotted at a different Target store.
Dennard told the AJC that "arrangements" had been made Tuesday to arrest Boros at the Cobb County Sheriff's Office. He said Boros likely would face warrants from other jurisdictions, as well.
Acworth police are planning to charge Boros with loitering and with criminal trespass, both misdemeanors, Dennard said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the case to call the Acworth Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 770-974-3111.
