Ga. 400 southbound has reopened after a Sunday morning crash involving a wrong-way driver.

Atlanta police spokesman Officer Ralph Woolfolk said the crash occurred around 11 a.m. near the now-defunct toll booth south of the exit for the Glenridge Connector. A driver headed northbound in the southbound lanes collided with another vehicle, police said.

The road was closed and traffic was backed up for more than two hours. The highway was reopened around 1:30 p.m.

The wrong-way driver was in critical condition, Woolfolk said. The other driver was alert, breathing and conscious.

No further information was immediately available.
