Former DeKalb County CEO Vernon Jones CEO is in a runoff election Tuesday with Rhonda Taylor, a legal support consultant who says voters have had enough of Jones.

The candidates are seeking the Georgia House District 91 seat, which covers southeast DeKalb and parts of Rockdale County.

Jones is running on his experience and expertise as a former state legislator and chief executive.

But Taylor says she’s more in-touch with the community, and residents have already seen how Jones governs.

Jones has run unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate. U.S. House and DeKalb sheriff since finishing his second term as county CEO in 2008.
