Learn how to spot storms in Gwinnett Thursday

Feb 24, 2016

The season of stormy weather is upon us, so why not learn to spot it on your own?

Gwinnett County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service are sponsoring a free storm-spotter class at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center Auditorium, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville.

The class will focus on how to spot dangerous weather, especially tornadoes and severe thunderstorms. David Nadler, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, will teach how storms work and how to spot visual cues to identify them.

Space is limited, so pre-register at 770-513-5600 or at ema@gwinnettcounty.com.
