Five neighborhoods annexed by Atlanta will return to Fulton County

Five neighborhoods in unincorporated Fulton County that were annexed by the city of Atlanta over the summer were annexed improperly, a Fulton County judge said.

The neighborhoods will return to the unincorporated county, and residents will be able to cast their votes for or against the proposed City of South Fulton this fall.

Atlanta said it is considering its legal options.
