The DeKalb County election supervisor who reported allegations of voting irregularities wrote in an email earlier this month that he believed county officials colluded to commit election fraud Nov. 3.

The email from Election Supervisor Leonard Piazza was obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Monday through Georgia’s Open Records Act.

Piazza's suspicions led the Georgia Secretary of State's Office and the GBI to open an investigation, which is ongoing.

DeKalb Election Director Maxine Daniels said she believes the investigation will show the election was conducted fairly.
