Entrepreneurs, scientists and businesses will participate in a public meeting Tuesday about increasing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills among DeKalb County’s children.

The event will feature live demonstrations to show the audience real-life applications of STEM skills.

Commissioner Larry Johnson and Georgia Piedmont Technical College are hosting the event, and they encouraged parents, teachers, school administrators and business leaders to attend.

The meeting will be held Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center at 3181 Rainbow Drive in Decatur.
