DeKalb County's government is trying to get citizens more involved in their government by making it easier to apply to serve on various community boards and organizations.

Interim DeKalb CEO Lee May launched a website that allows any county resident to find out what boards and commissions have vacancies and apply for them.

May said the website will help increase diversity and experience on county government organizations.

DeKalb has nearly five dozen boards and commissions that citizens can serve on.

The website is http://www.dekalbcountyga.gov/boardsCommissions.html
