The Cumberland Circulator bus service, which shuttles riders between local hotels, businesses and the new SunTrust Park stadium, is abolishing its $2.50 fare.

The decision to offer free service was one of several changes approved Tuesday by the Cobb Board of Commissioners.

The circulator will also cut its red line, shift the routes of its blue and green lines, and operate on a later schedule.

The circulator is funded through the county transit fund, which is supposed to receive money from a $3-a-night hotel/motel tax that is also earmarked for debt service on the stadium.
