The gymnasium at George Pierce Park in Suwanee will be expanded under an agreement approved by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Tuesday.
Commissioners awarded a $3.2 million contract to Headley Construction Corp. The company will build an 18,212-foot addition with an elevated running/walking track, a full-size basketball court, two overlay basketball courts and other facilities.
Gwinnett will pay for the project with money raised from a voter-approved 2009 sales tax for construction projects.
