Clayton County Schools said it would be closing on a normal scheduled Friday as it avoided most of the snow that has fallen in metro Atlanta, but all scheduled extracurricular after-school activities have been cancelled through noon Saturday.

“Due to anticipated winter weather conditions, all after-school athletic and extracurricular activities are cancelled through 12 noon on Saturday,” the district wrote in an email press release. “This includes the Title I Parent University at Rex Mill Middle School as well as the Orange Duffle Bag Initiative Program at Clayton State University.”

ACT testing set for Saturday at Mount Zion High School has also been cancelled, the district said.
