What do Atlanta children and teenagers think of police officers?

The Atlanta Citizen Review Board’s annual art and essay contest looks to answer that question. The board is funded by the City Council and is charged with investigating citizen complaints against the police.

Students can submit entries completing the sentence, “Police officers in my neighborhood are …”

Prizes include gift cards, money and recognition at City Hall.

The contest is open to all students in living in the city of Atlanta. Entry forms are available at Atlanta-Fulton Public Library branches. The contest ends April 22.
