Atlanta’s Carver High School and Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy are among the Atlanta schools with new leaders this year.

On Monday, the Atlanta school board formally approved Yusuf Muhammad as principal of the newly recombined Carver High School and Eulonda Washington as principal of Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy, the district’s all-girls middle/high school.

Other schools with new principals this year include:

  • Garden Hills Elementary - Stacey Abbott
  • Springdale Park Elementary - Terry Harness
  • Benteen Elementary - Andrew Lovett
  • Continental Colony Elementary - Kristen Vaugh
  • Price Middle School - Luqman Abdur-Rahman (interim principal)

Earlier this summer, the board approved hiring ten other new principals — including a new leader for struggling Douglass High School.
