There is an antidote to the disgust and despair that emanate from the APS cheating trial, and its name is Drew. As in the Charles R. Drew charter school, an oasis of hope on Memorial Drive.

The school, which opened in 2000, set out to refute the myth that poor and minority students can’t learn. It’s done that quite handsomely, thank you.

Now, if we could just build 33 more of them.
