Looking for the best schools in metro Atlanta? The Georgia Department of Education has data for that.

Every year the state releases a grade for each school. It's called the College and Career Ready Performance Index and is based mostly on student performance on state standardized tests.

Below you’ll find the top elementary, middle and high schools in metro Atlanta ranked by their state rating.

For details on each school's performance, explore The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's interactive guide to Georgia schools here.
