Two top Georgia educational leaders will share their visions of the future of schooling at a legislative reception near the state Capitol Wednesday.

Newly elected Georgia Superintendent Richard Woods will share a stage with Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Meria Carstarphen at 6 p.m. at the Atlanta schools headquarters a few blocks from the Gold Dome.

The reception, titled “Securing our Future through Education!” is free and open to the public and is expected to draw state lawmakers and officials from Atlanta and Fulton County. The event is at the Atlanta schools headquarters, 130 Trinity Avenue. Park free at the nearby school system deck off Garnett Street.
