DeKalb County Superintendent Michael Thurmond is scheduled to discuss the state of the school system at a parent meeting on the county’s north side Wednesday morning.

Thurmond's talk, billed as the "State of the System Revisited," will occur at a meeting of the Emory LaVista Parent Council, a group serving schools in the Druid Hills High School and Lakeside High School clusters.

The meeting starts at 9:15 a.m. at Lakeside High, 3801 Briarcliff Rd NE.
