State school board to adopt new course standards for clusters

The Georgia Board of Education will adopt new academic course standards Thursday at its monthly meeting. The board will adopt new performance standards for courses in the Arts, Audio-Video Technology and Communications career pathway and the Manufacturing Career Cluster pathways. The meeting will be held in the state board room, 2070 Twin Towers East, Atlanta.

The estimated cost for the long-awaited project is up to $185 million.

The kits will contain Narcan, which can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and restore breathing.

Sixteen schools will be repurposed under the APS Forward 2040 plan as enrollment falls and the district seeks better resources for students.
