Gov. Nathan Deal and other state officials plan to launch a campaign aimed at preventing injury and death caused by leaving children unattended in hot vehicles.

With the weather heating up and summer months just around the corner, Deal, First Lady Sandra Deal, Commissioner Amy Jacobs, with Georgia’s Department of Early Care and Learning, and child advocates are slated to hold a news conference June 3 at Liberty Plaza to launch the “Look Again” campaign.

State officials say parents should never leave young children alone in vehicles because of the threat of heatstroke.
