South Forsyth High School, under the stewardship of Chris Webb, received the Keep Forsyth County Beautiful Green School Award. To be considered for the award, the school must have an aluminum, paper, and cardboard recycling program and a student organization that participates in county cleanup and recycling events throughout the year. Webb's students have been involved with Keep Forsyth County Beautiful for 10 years. The program interconnects well with the AP Environmental Science course curriculum and allows Webb to give his students a hands-on element to environmental concepts learned throughout the year. Webb has won this award for the past several years.
