The Atlanta school board has upheld the firing of a bus driver who left a sleeping child inside her bus while she used a grocery store restroom.

Felecia Dean, who drove Atlanta school buses for more than 20 years, failed to conduct a post-trip inspection after dropping off students at Kimberly Elementary in southwest Atlanta on April 16, 2013, according to a hearing officer's report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution through an open records request.

A concerned citizen called police after finding the crying child wandering in front of the grocery store, and police didn’t charge Dean with any violation.
