Georgia schools will find out how students scored on the SAT next week when results are released by the College Board, which oversees the exam.

The SAT is taken by millions of students across the nation and used as part of college admissions. It’s also considered an important indicator of how well students are prepared for college-level coursework and is one of the few tests that offer a national picture of student performance.

Last year, Georgia's average score remained flat at 1452 out of a possible 2400. National SAT scores remained flat, too, holding steady at 1498 out of 2400.

Results will be released to the public Tuesday. Visit AJC.com and MyAJC.com to find out how your school scored.
