Roswell High students certified through Germany’s official language tests

Ten Roswell High School students participated in the exam and interview process and earned certification of language competencies on official German proficiency tests. The Deutsches Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz (German Language Certificate of the Education Ministers Conference) is an initiative of the German education authorities and the German Foreign Office for the improvement of the knowledge of the German language in schools worldwide. The program began in 1973, and Georgia is the only state that offers this test in all German programs. Six Roswell students were awarded diplomas with B1 certification and three with level A2. These proficiency levels are recognized as the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. German teacher Tim Holt was presented with a trophy and the following students received prizes: Ashley Boyle, Ethan Cain, Justin Cozzone, Kyle Cozzone, Anna Crossley, Hailey Kent, Jackson Maier, Chase Ray and Georg Wegmann.
