Reinhardt University will hold almost two weeks of activities, beginning April 4, to celebrate the inauguration of its 20th president, Kina Mallard.

Mallard was named president of the private institution in February 2015 after a seven-month search. She replaced J. Thomas Isherwood, who retired last year after 13 years leading the institution. Mallard began her tenure as president July 1, 2015

Before coming to Reinhardt, Mallard served as executive vice president and provost of Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

The inauguration events will kick off with an art gallery reception at the Falany Performing Arts Center. The art on display is in honor of Mallard, and each pied will have a connection to the president.

Other inauguration events include:

  • April 10 - A Sunday for Reinhardt: churches can host an event during their service asking member to pray for the Reinhardt community. ASunday.Reinhardt.edu
