The historic Arch at the University of Georgia is slated for preservation repairs beginning May 19 and continuing throughout the summer.

The Arch will be cleaned and received new paint, wiring and a corrosion treatment. The three pillars of the Arch are embedded in the historic steps and will not be removed during the process.

As part of the repair work, a 6-foot path will be created to the west of the Arch to improve access to and from the Broad Street bus stop and North Campus.

The Arch repairs and pathway are scheduled to be completed the week before school resumes for the fall semester on August 17.
