College graduates are getting ready to get their diplomas this month and make their first forays into their chosen fields. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York calculated in January the labor market for recent college graduates. It looks at unemployment rates among graduates in most major college fields of study, as well as rates of pay the graduates receive. Engineers are the mostly handsomely paid, and religion majors and artists have the lowest salaries and some of the highest unemployment rates. You can check out the unemployment rates and pay for most college majors by going here on AJC.com.
