The lockdown at Cedar Grove elementary and high schools have been lifted, officials said.

DeKalb County School District officials said just before 4 p.m. that restrictions at Cedar Grove Elementary School and Cedar Grove High School were lifted around noon. Both schools were placed on lockdown about 8:20 a.m. as a police chase took place through the area.

DeKalb County School District officials initially were unaware Cedar Grove Elementary School also had been locked down.
