David A. Thomas took the helm Monday as Morehouse College’s new president.
Here are five of his stated goals:
- a major capital campaign to raise money for student scholarships, among other needs.
- making Morehouse a premier institution for research on the black experience.
- hire more faculty.
- improve the college's facilities.
- increase enrollment from the current 2,200 students to about 2,500 students.
