Woodward Academy's Lower School Dance teacher Dawn Axam was named Dance Teacher of the Year by Dance Teacher magazine. Every year the publication celebrates four dance educators who foster their students' love of dance and are inspiring role models in the field of dance education. Axam will accept her award at the Dancer Teacher Summit in Long Beach, California, in August, and will be featured in the July issue of Dance Teacher magazine.
