Kennesaw State University is getting out of the student healthcare business and has outsourced those services to WellStar Medical Group, school officials announced this week.

KSU’s Student Health Services includes three health care clinics that diagnose and treat illnesses and provide mental health support. The clinics handle 20,000 patient visits each year.

The change is effective immediately, and the transition will be completed by the end of March.

Existing appointments will not be affected, and many of the current staff are expected to retain their positions. Clinic hours and locations will also remain the same.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031.
