The Rev. Jesse Jackson visited Atlanta’s Jackson High School Monday for an end of the year celebration.

In an address during Jackson's Awards Day ceremony for underclassmen, Jackson spoke of the Rev. Martin Luther King and of former Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson, Jackson principal Stephanie Johnson wrote in a Facebook post.

“Stop the violence. Save the children. Keep hope alive,” Jackson told students.
