Clark Atlanta University (CAU) will hold its annual Fall Convocation on Tuesday. LaDoris “Dot” Harris, director of the Office of Economic Empowerment and Diversity of the U.S. Department of Energy, will be the speaker. The program will take place at 11 a.m. in the Leonidas S. Epps Gymnasium in the Vivian Henderson Athletic Center, at Vine Street and Atlanta Student Movement Boulevard (formerly Fair Street). Harris was nominated by President Barack Obama to be the director of the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity at the United States Department of Energy. She was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on March 29, 2012. Harris has nearly 30 years of management and leadership experience.
